EASTERN OKLAHOMA/NORTHWEST ARKANSAS WEATHER SUMMARY

A COMPLEX OF THUNDERSTORMS HAVING INTITIATED IN WESTERN KANSAS LATE  
YESTERDAY, WEAKENED AS IT MOVED INTO EASTERN OKLAHOMA EARLY THIS  
MORNING. THE STRONGEST OF THE REMAINING STORMS AFFECTED LOCATIONS  
MOSTLY ALONG AND NORTH OF HIGHWAY 412, AND ALONG AND WEST OF HIGHWAY  
75 IN NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA. ONE TO TWO INCHES RAIN HAD OCCURRED IN THE  
AFOREMENTIONED AREA SINCE MIDNIGHT. CONSIDERABLY LESS TO NO RAIN HAD  
FALLEN ACROSS THE REMAINDER OF THE REGION. THIS MORNINGS  
TEMPERATURES VARIED FROM THE LOWER TO MID 60S AT AROUND SUNRISE.  
 
LINGERING RAIN SHOWERS HAD ENDED ACROSS EASTERN OKLAHOMA, WITH  
WESTERN ARKANSAS PARTLY CLOUDY BY EARLY AFTERNOON. TEMPERATURES  
VARIED WIDELY, FROM THE MID 70S IN RAIN COOLED, OVERCAST LOCATIONS  
OF NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA, TO THE MID AND UPPER 80S SOUTH AND EASTWARD,  
WHERE NO RAIN HAD FALLEN SINCE MIDNIGHT AND SUNSHINE HAD BEEN MOST  
ABUNDANT SO FAR THIS MORNING. WINDS WERE OUT OF THE SOUTH AT 10 TO  
20 MPH ACROSS THE AREA.
