THUNDERSTORMS WITH DANGEROUS LIGHTNING.  
RISK...LIMITED.  
AREA...FAR SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA.  
ONSET...THIS AFTERNOON.  
 
DISCUSSION...  
THUNDERSTORM COVERAGE IS EXPECTED TO BE LESS NUMEROUS TODAY AS  
DRIER AIR WORKS INTO THE REGION. A FEW ISOLATED STORMS WILL BE  
POSSIBLE NEAR THE RED RIVER THIS AFTERNOON AS THE REST OF THE AREA  
REMAINS DRY. COOLER AND DRIER AIR WILL PROVIDE A BRIEF REPRIEVE  
FROM THE HEAT AND HUMIDITY THIS AFTERNOON.  
 
SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT...  
SPOTTER ACTIVATION NOT EXPECTED.

WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY.

THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY WILL BECOME MUCH LESS NUMEROUS THROUGH THE  
HOLIDAY WEEKEND, BUT AT LEAST ISOLATED STORMS WILL REMAIN POSSIBLE  
EACH DAY THURSDAY THROUGH MONDAY. LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL AND  
GUSTY WINDS MAY ACCOMPANY ANY STORM THAT DOES OCCUR. AFTER A BRIEF  
BREAK FROM THE HEAT, AFTERNOON HEAT INDEX VALUES WILL REACH NEAR  
OR ABOVE 100 IN SOME PLACES THURSDAY THROUGH THE WEEKEND. BETTER  
STORM CHANCES COULD ENTER THE FORECAST AGAIN BY NEXT WEEK ACROSS  
PORTIONS OF THE FORECAST AREA.
