HIGH CLOUDS CONTINUE TO MOVE ACROSS THE REGION TONIGHT, BUT  
SATELLITE TRENDS INDICATE THEY WILL EVENTUALLY SCATTER FROM THE  
WEST AFTER MIDNIGHT AND MOSTLY EAST OF THE AREA BY EARLY  
WEDNESDAY MORNING. SOME MOISTENING OF THE BOUNDARY LAYER HAS  
OCCURRED GENERALLY ALONG AND SOUTH OF I-40, WHERE CURRENT TEMP/DEW  
POINT SPREADS ARE NOW JUST A FEW DEGREES, WITH A BIT DRIER  
CONDITIONS PERSISTING TO THE NORTH. GIVEN LIGHT WINDS AND THE  
EVENTUAL LOSS OF HIGHER CLOUDS, APPEARS THAT AT LEAST PATCHY DENSE  
FOG IS LIKELY, AND WITH TEMPERATURES FALLING INTO THE TEENS AND  
SINGLE DIGITS, THE POTENTIAL FOR ENOUGH FREEZING FOG TO INDUCE  
ADDITIONAL TRAVEL ISSUES IS HIGH ENOUGH TO WARRANT AN ADVISORY,  
WHICH WILL RUN FROM 09-16Z.  
 
WITH CONTINUED LIGHT BOUNDARY LAYER FLOW MOST OF WEDNESDAY, ANY  
FOG OR LOW CLOUDS COULD TAKE SOME TIME TO DISSIPATE, BUT MOST  
AREAS SHOULD EVENTUALLY SEE ENOUGH SUN TO BRING TEMPERATURES BACK  
ABOVE FREEZING WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON, SIMILAR TO WHAT WAS OBSERVED

MILDER CONDITIONS WEDNESDAY NIGHT WITH MORE CONSISTENT SOUTH  
WINDS AHEAD OF AN APPROACHING SHORTWAVE MOVING THROUGH THE  
ROCKIES. THIS SYSTEM MAY RESULT IN A FEW LIGHT RAIN OR SNOW  
SHOWERS ACROSS MAINLY FAR NORTHEAST OK AND NORTHWEST AR THURSDAY,  
BUT POPS REMAIN BELOW MENTIONABLE FOR THE MOST PART AND DO NOT  
EXPECT ANY IMPACTS FROM ANY SNOW. A COLD FRONT WILL MOVE THROUGH  
IN THE WAKE OF THIS SYSTEM LATER THURSDAY WITH COOLING EFFECTS  
BEGINNING THURSDAY NIGHT. A MUCH MORE SUBSTANTIAL PUSH OF COLD  
ARCTIC AIR WILL THEN ARRIVE BY FRIDAY, WITH TEMPERATURES DROPPING  
BACK INTO THE SINGLE DIGITS OR EVEN A BIT BELOW ZERO BY SATURDAY  
MORNING, WITH ANTICIPATED WIND CHILLS LIKELY NECESSITATING COLD  
WEATHER HEADLINES AT THAT TIME. A FEW FLURRIES ALSO LIKELY WITH  
THIS COLD SURGE, BUT AGAIN NOTHING IMPACTFUL IN THE WAY OF  
PRECIPITATION.  
 
AFTER A VERY COLD DAY SATURDAY, TEMPERATUES SHOULD BEGIN TO  
MODIFY, THOUGH THIS WILL CONTINUE TO BE TEMPERED EARLY NEXT WEEK  
WITH EXPECTED LINGERING SNOWPACK. BY NEXT TUESDAY MOIST AIR FROM  
WILL INCREASE FROM THE SOUTH AND RESULT IN A CHANCE OF RAIN AS AN  
UPPER SYSTEM APPROACHES FROM THE WEST.

SOUTHWEST WINDS. CEILINGS WILL DEVELOP OVERNIGHT, BUT THEY WILL BE  
AT OR ABOVE 15 KFT. A WEAK BOUNDARY WILL SHIFT INTO NORTHEAST OK  
THURSDAY MORNING, SHIFTING KBVO TO ENE WIND, WITH SOUTH TO  
SOUTHEAST WINDS EXPECTED ELSEWHERE. SOME PATCHY FOG MAY DEVELOP,  
WITH THE BEST CHANCE NEAR KMLC NEAR DAWN. CEILINGS WILL COME DOWN  
IN EASTERN OK BY MID MORNING TO 5-8 KFT. A FEW SPRINKLES OR  
FLURRIES COULD OCCUR IN EASTERN OK THURSDAY LATE MORNING, BUT  
ACCUMULATION IS NOT EXPECTED.
