THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A  
 
* SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF  
CENTRAL AND EASTERN KENTUCKY  
NORTHERN MIDDLE TENNESSEE  
 
* EFFECTIVE THIS WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND THURSDAY MORNING FROM 745 PM  
UNTIL 100 AM EDT.  
 
* PRIMARY THREATS INCLUDE...  
SCATTERED DAMAGING WIND GUSTS TO 65 MPH LIKELY  
ISOLATED LARGE HAIL EVENTS TO 1.5 INCHES IN DIAMETER POSSIBLE  
A TORNADO OR TWO POSSIBLE  
 
SUMMARY...A BAND OF INTENSIFYING THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE EAST ACROSS  
THE WATCH THROUGH THE EVENING INTO EARLY TONIGHT. THE STRONGER  
THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE CAPABLE OF SEVERE, DAMAGING GUSTS (55-65 MPH)  
AND PERHAPS A LOCALIZED RISK FOR LARGE HAIL. A TORNADO IS POSSIBLE  
MAINLY THIS EVENING ACROSS CENTRAL PORTIONS OF KENTUCKY WHERE  
STRONGER LOW-LEVEL WINDS ARE LOCATED.  
 
THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 80  
STATUTE MILES EAST AND WEST OF A LINE FROM 60 MILES EAST NORTHEAST  
OF LEXINGTON KY TO 15 MILES SOUTHWEST OF NASHVILLE TN. FOR A
