AND TIED FOR THE DRIEST JULY SINCE RECORD KEEPING BEGAN.  
THE TRACE OF RAIN IN JULY 2019 TIES THE RECORD WITH 1993.

NOTES:  
THE LOW TEMPERATURE OF 58 DEGREES ON JULY 25TH WAS THE  
COLDEST JULY TEMPERATURE ON RECORD AT AUSTIN BERGSTROM.  
THIS BROKE THE OLD RECORD OF 60 DEGREES SET ON JULY 3RD  
2013. THIS OCCURRED IN THE WAKE OF AN UNSEASONABLY STRONG  
COLD FRONT WHICH MADE IT ALL THE WAY THROUGH THE REGION.  
 
JULY 1947 REPORTED 0.00 INCHES OF RAINFALL. HOWEVER, AT  
THIS TIME, OBSERVATIONS WERE NOT TAKEN ON THE WEEKENDS. THUS,  
THERE WERE 8 MISSING DAYS THAT MONTH. ON SATURDAY JULY 19TH  
1947, ALL OBSERVATION SITES AROUND AUS RECORDED SUBSTANTIAL  
RAINFALL. DUE TO THESE REASONS, JULY 1947 WAS THROWN OUT OF THE  
MONTHLY RECORDS. JULY 1993 HAD 5 MISSING DAYS, BUT ON THESE MISSING  
DAYS, ALL NEARBY OBSERVATION SITES ALSO REPORTED NO RAINFALL. THIS  
INCLUDES AUSTIN MUELLER AIRPORT, WHICH ALSO RECORDED ONLY A TRACE OF  
RAINFALL FOR JULY 1993. THUS, THIS WAS ALLOWED TO REMAIN AS A MONTHLY  
RECORD. THUS, JULY 2019 WAS DETERMINED TO BE TIED FOR THE DRIEST JULY  
ON RECORD WITH JULY 1993.
