THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR THE SOUTH PLAINS, ROLLING  
PLAINS AND THE FAR SOUTHERN TEXAS PANHANDLE.  
   
DAY ONE
 
TODAY AND TONIGHT.  
 
WARM, VERY DRY, AND BREEZY NORTHWESTERLY TO WESTERLY WINDS WILL  
CREATE ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER ACROSS THE ENTIRE CAPROCK THIS  
AFTERNOON. A FIRE DANGER STATEMENT IS IN EFFECT FOR THE SOUTH PLAINS  
AND SOUTHWEST AND SOUTH-CENTRAL TEXAS PANHANDLE FROM NOON UNTIL 8 PM.  
 
IN ADDITION, A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL MOVE THROUGH LATE TONIGHT.  
NORTHEASTERLY WINDS MAY BECOME SUSTAINED IN EXCESS OF 30 MPH BEHIND  
THE COLD FRONT LATE TONIGHT INTO EARLY MONDAY MORNING. THE GUSTY  
WINDS WILL ALSO LOFT AREAS OF BLOWING DUST.  
   
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
 
MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY.  
 
SHOWER AND THUNDERSTORM CHANCES WILL RETURN TO THE REGION TUESDAY  
AND PERSIST THROUGH SATURDAY. AT THIS TIME, IT APPEARS THE RISK FOR  
SEVERE WEATHER IS LOW, THOUGH A FEW STRONGER STORMS COULD PRODUCE  
BRIEF HEAVY RAINFALL.
