LIGHT RAIN AND SNOW WILL CONTINUE THROUGH EARLY TO  
MID MORNING TODAY BEFORE TAPERING OFF. STRONG NORTHWESTERLY WINDS  
WILL DEVELOP BY MID-MORNING AND PERSIST INTO THE AFTERNOON ACROSS  
NW SD AND THE WESTERN SD PLAINS; WIND GUSTS UP TO 35 TO 45 MPH  
WILL BE POSSIBLE. WHILE MUCH OF THE AREA HAS SEEN MEASURABLE  
PRECIPITATION OVER THE PAST FEW DAYS AND RH VALUES WILL BE HIGH  
TODAY, THE STRONG NW WINDS WILL RESULT IN HIGH GRASSLAND FIRE  
DANGER ACROSS MUCH OF THE WESTERN SD PLAINS.

INDICATE THAT THERE IS A MODERATE TO HIGH POTENTIAL FOR A FIRE  
OCCURRENCE. OUTDOOR BURNING SHOULD BE RESTRICTED TO EARLY MORNING  
OR EVENING HOURS WHEN WIND SPEEDS ARE USUALLY LOWER AND THE  
RELATIVE HUMIDITY IS HIGHER.
