WEATHERWISE DURING MARCH OF 2021 IN SHREVEPORT AND BOSSIER CITY,
LOUISIANA, WE RECORDED SLIGHTLY WARMER THAN NORMAL TEMPERATURES WITH
NEAR NORMAL RAINFALL. THIS MARCH OBSERVED SURPRISINGLY QUIET
WEATHER IN THE IMMEDIATE SHREVEPORT AND BOSSIER CITY AREA, BUT
TORNADIC THUNDERSTORMS THREATENED THE METRO AREA DURING THE
AFTERNOON OF THE 17TH AND THE EVENING OF THE 27TH. FORTUNATELY, THE
SEVERE WEATHER JUST MISSED TO THE SOUTH AND EAST OF THE METRO
AREA DURING BOTH DAYS.

THE ONLY HIGHLIGHT OF THE MONTH OCCURRED DURING THE FIRST DAY OF
MARCH AS SHREVEPORT BROKE THE DAILY RAINFALL RECORD BY TALLYING 1.95
INCHES FOR THE DAY. THE OLD DAILY STANDARD OF 1.79 INCHES OCCURRED
BACK DURING 1934.
