NEAR TERM...(THROUGH TONIGHT)
 
 
A WEAK REINFORCING COLD FRONT WILL PUSH INTO THE REGION TONIGHT  
ALONG WITH A DRY, COLD NORTHWESTERLY FLOW ALOFT. HIGH CLOUDS  
STREAMING ACROSS SE GA WILL LIFT OUT TONIGHT AND LIMITED COLUMN  
MOISTURE WILL KEEP SKIES MOSTLY CLEAR THEREAFTER WITH SURFACE  
RIDGING GRADUALLY SETTLES OVERHEAD.  
 
AS AFTERNOON BREEZINESS SETTLES WITH THE RELAXING GRADIENTS,  
TEMPERATURES WILL PLUMMET ONCE AGAIN TO SUBFREEZING LEVELS AFTER  
SUNSET. WITHOUT MUCH, IF ANY, WIND AT PLAY THE "WIND CHILL" IMPACT  
WILL BE MINIMAL; HOWEVER, AIR TEMPERATURES WILL PLUMMET WITH  
EXCELLENT RADIATIONAL COOLING TONIGHT. BITTER COLD TEMPERATURES  
ARE EXPECTED ACROSS THE SUWANNEE VALLEY AND SOUTHEAST GA WHERE  
LOWS WILL FALL TO LOW/MID 20S TONIGHT WHILE THE REST OF NORTHEAST  
FL FALLS TO THE UPPER 20S AND LOW 30S. GIVEN THE LITTLE WIND,  
WIDESPREAD AREAS OF FROST ARE LIKELY ACROSS ALL AREAS INCLUDING  
THE BEACH COMMUNITIES.  
 
ALL THAT SAID, THERE IS A FREEZE WARNING IN EFFECT TONIGHT.  
ANOTHER NIGHT OF DANGEROUSLY COLD TEMPERATURES IS EXPECTED,  
HOWEVER, APPARENT TEMPERATURE IS NOT QUITE AT COLD WEATHER  
ADVISORY GIVEN THE LACK OF WIND. THIS MAY DESERVE ANOTHER LOOK  
DURING THE EVENING UPDATE.  
 

 
   
SHORT TERM
 
(SATURDAY THROUGH SUNDAY NIGHT)  
 
HIGH PRESSURE CONDITIONS WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE WEEKEND  
RESULTING IN DRY WEATHER AND MOSTLY CLEAR SKIES, WITH CLOUD  
DENSITY INCREASING ON SUNDAY AHEAD OF A FRONTAL BOUNDARY PRESSING  
IN FROM OUT OF THE NORTHWEST. TEMPERATURES WILL GRADUALLY INCREASE  
OVER THE COURSE OF THE WEEKEND WITH DAILY MAX TEMPS REACHING INTO  
THE 50S AND 60S BY SUNDAY. OVERNIGHT LOW TEMPERATURES WILL DROP  
DOWN INTO THE 20S AND 30S ON SATURDAY WITH MIN TEMPS RISING INTO  
THE 30S AND LOWER 40S GOING INTO NEXT WEEK.

(MONDAY THROUGH NEXT FRIDAY)  
 
POTENTIAL FOR SHOWERS ON MONDAY OVER SOUTHEAST GEORGIA AS A FRONT  
MOVES SOUTHEASTWARD FROM OUT OF THE NORTHWEST, FOLLOWED BY A  
PERIOD OF DRIER WEATHER AS HIGH PRESSURE SETTLES ACROSS THE  
FORECAST AREA THROUGH MIDWEEK. HIGH PRESSURE IS EXPECTED TO RECEDE  
BEFORE THE LATTER PART OF THE WEEK, WITH A MORE MOIST WESTERLY  
FLOW BRINGING IN INCREASED CHANCES FOR SHOWERS THROUGHOUT THE  
FORECAST AREA. THE WARMING TREND WILL CONTINUE ON INTO NEXT WEEK  
WITH TEMPERATURES RISING TO BE WELL ABOVE THE SEASONAL AVERAGE BY  
THURSDAY.

PRESSURE WILL CONTINUE LIGHT WINDS AND LOW SEAS THROUGH AT LEAST  
THE MIDDLE PART OF NEXT WEEK.  
 
RIP CURRENTS: LINGERING ELEVATED SURF HAS KEPT RIP CURRENT RISK HIGH  
AT NE FL BEACHES TODAY. AS WINDS AND SURF LOWER, RISK WILL LOWER TO
