UPDATE

ISSUED AT 1007 AM CST MON JAN 20 2025

TEMPERATURES ARE SLOWLY REBOUNDING THIS MORNING FOLLOWING
OVERNIGHT LOWS IN THE TEENS AND LOW 20'S. CURRENT THINKING IS
THAT TEMPERATURES SHOULD CLIMB JUST ABOVE FREEZING IN THE NEXT 1-2
HOURS FOR MANY, AND POSSIBLY ANOTHER 2-3 HOURS BEFORE THE
NORTHERN ZONES ACCOMPLISH THIS, IF AT ALL. THAT BEING SAID, THE
AIRMASS IN PLACE IS INCREDIBLY DRY. DEW POINT TEMPERATURES REMAIN
IN THE SINGLE DIGITS, WITH MANY NEAR ZERO. HIGHEST MOISTURE
CONCENTRATION LOOKS TO BE ACROSS THE EXTREME SOUTHERN ZONES NEAR
LOWER TOLEDO BEND. THIS IS THE AREA OF HIGHEST CONFIDENCE FOR THE
ONSET OF LIGHT WINTER PRECIP THIS EVENING AND OVERNIGHT.
ELSEWHERE, THE DRY AIRMASS IN PLAY WILL SUPPRESS PRECIP CHANCES.
NOT RULING OUT A STRAY FLURRY OR TWO, BUT ACCUMULATION IS
TRENDING UNLIKELY.
